In this two-part workshop, you will work with potters from Sandy Spring Clayworks, learning how to make ceramic tiles. Tiles can be a lovely accent on the wall, in the garden or used as a trivet. Each participant will make 4 x 6 tiles, suitable for a variety of projects. One tile will be used to decorate a wooden keepsake box. Embellish with slips, carved designs and layered, raised designs. Tiles will be created one class and glazed in the second class. Finished tiles will be fired and ready for pick up one week later. All supplies and materials and refreshments (hard cider and snacks!) are included. $75 for museum members / $90 for non members.
