As the American population grays, age-related hearing problems are becoming more widespread. According to recent research, there is a strong association between hearing loss and dementia. Social isolation, often caused by hearing loss, is a known risk factor for dementia. During this FREE Living Well Community Seminar presented by Susan Yaffe-Oziel, MMS, CCC-A, director of the Family Hearing Center, you'll learn how this and other factors contribute to hearing loss and dementia. This 7 p.m. seminar will be preceded by a complimentary light supper. To register, contact Toni Davis, 301-388-7209 or tdavis@bgf.org, by May 16.
