Alcohol Abuse and Seniors
This workshop will explore the truth and myths about alcohol abuse and seniors. Participants will learn more about addiction, diagnosis and treatment. The workshop will address the interaction between prescription drugs and alcohol. In addition, the relationship between intoxication and falls, appetite and sleep will be explored. This program will address societal attitudes toward seniors’ alcohol use and the impact of alcohol abuse on the individual and family system. Resources that help seniors with alcohol addiction will be provided.
Professionals in the field of aging and families who are impacted by a senior with an alcohol addiction can benefit from this informative program.
Registration begins at 8:30am
