2017 Chamber Awards Dinner

Mark your calendar!  Reservations are now open for the Chamber's Annual Awards & Installation Dinner.  The last few years have seen attendance grow, with well over 100 members and guests gathering at Manor Country Club last year to honor neighbors, businesses and scholars.

We are returning to the exquisite setting of Manor Country Club, with these mouth watering entree choices: Grilled Atlantic Salmon with Lemon Dill Sauce - or - Sliced Strip Loin Au Jus with Mushroom Burgundy Sauce - or - a Vegetarian Entree.  Special dietary considerations can be accommodated by notifying the Chamber in advance.  Cash bar only (no credit cards)


During the evening, we will honor the 2017 Business Person of the Year - Valle Bonhag, of Carl M. Freeman Companies, Inc.  The prestigious Partner in Business Award will be presented to Harris Teeter.

To further acknowledge their meaningful contributions, the Chamber will recognize Pamela Spears, this year's recipient of the Greater Olney-Sandy Spring ATHENA Award, along with the five other amazing women that were nominated.  Join us to congratulate them all.

Continuing it's commitment to recognize the importance of education, the Chamber will again present scholarships to outstanding high school seniors chosen from applications submitted by local graduating students.  They include:
        - A $2,000 Olney Chamber Scholarship
        - The $1,500 ATHENA Scholar Award
        - The $2,500 Ofc. Noah Leotta "Act Responsibly Scholarship"
The 2017 "Celebration of Excellence" marks our second year presenting the "Act Responsibly Scholarship".  Created to honor and preserve the legacy of Police Officer Leotta, the scholarship seeks to assist a local graduating senior to pursue a career that reflects the ideals Noah exemplified.

Seating is limited to 180 and the time frame to complete reservations is short.  Don't delay!
