The Museum is home to nine working artists who work in clay, silver, enamels, and fabric. All of the artists have small galleries in their studios with works for sale, and also take commissions if you are looking for a one-of-a-kind item. Many of the artists incorporate materials and inspiration from the Museum’s collection in the creation of their pieces, and use both historic and modern techniques in their craft. Resident artists include painter Eileen K. Crowe, silversmith EunJu Lee, quilter Lauren Kingsland, enamellist Susana M. Garten, and members of the Sandy Spring Clayworks, a pottery cooperative: Karen Blynn, Rikki Condon, Jean Fletcher, Robin Ziek, and Pamela Reid. In addition to viewing the artists at work, and seeing their creations, there will be live music, refreshments, and special Open House sale items.
