About Us
Washington Christian Academy is a Christian college preparatory school serving children of Christian families in kindergarten through high school, dedicated to what the ancient Greeks called Paideia–educating both the heart and mind to love what is true, beautiful, and good. This guiding principle–that the goal is not to position students for merely material success but to provide them with the tools they need to truly flourish in all areas of life–is at the heart of everything we do. Washington Christian Academy stands out as a school that not only prepares students for academic success but also equips them to live lives of purpose and significance. Our commitment to integrating faith and learning, rooted in a Reformed Theology, ensures that our students are not only well-educated but also spiritually grounded and ready to engage the world for Christ.
Academic Excellence
At WCA, our academic program is defined by its rigor, interdisciplinarity, and integrative approach. We offer a college-preparatory curriculum that challenges students to see connections across disciplines and to apply a Christian worldview to all areas of study.
Rigorously College-Preparatory
Our curriculum is designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge they need for college and life. We emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving, and higher-order reasoning, ensuring that students are well-prepared for the challenges of the future.
Intentionally Interdisciplinary
We train students to make connections between various disciplines, fostering a deeper understanding of the world. Whether it’s linking literature, history, and art, or exploring the intersections between science, mathematics, and the humanities, our program encourages students to think broadly and critically.
Thoroughly Integrative
At WCA, all subjects are taught from a Christian worldview. We believe that all truth is God’s truth, and we challenge our students to apply biblical principles to their studies, culminating in a senior thesis that synthesizes their learning and faith.
