"THE BATTLE OVER HOMEWORK"

As part of its 60th Anniversary celebrations and Dragon Dialogue series, Glenelg Country School (GCS) will host nationally recognized Harris M. Cooper on April 22, 2015 at 7:00pm in the Mulitz Theater for a presentation on “The Battle over Homework: Common Ground for Administrators, Teachers, and Parents.” This event is free and open to the public.
Lively and thought-provoking, Cooper will explore the changing face of homework in today’s academic and increasingly technological environment. The veteran research expert will discuss and field questions on the advantages and disadvantages of homework for students, teachers and administrators especially as it pertains to classroom instructional time and outside academic-related programs for the students.
A frequent guest on as NBC Dateline, Good Morning America, CNN Headline News, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and NPR’s Talk of the Nation, coverage of Cooper’s work also has appeared in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, the New Yorker and USA Today Weekend.
