SUMMARY:Wine Tasting Fundraiser for Rotary Club
DESCRIPTION:Each year the Rotary Club of Olney Maryland serves the community by funding projects to improve the lives of area residents\, by raising awareness of critical issues\, by connecting other charities\, including In Honor of Her and Camp Fantastic\, with valuable resources\, and by promoting area businesses.  In addition\, we work locally to improve the lives of those overseas through our Polio programs concentrating on vaccination\, eradication\, and support of those living with the disease\, and through our help with the Cypress Friendship Program which pairs teens from opposite sides of the UN patrolled border so that they can become friends and in a generation work to reunite their divided country.\n\nA little bit about our local charities of focus:\n\nIn Honor of Her:  In Honor of Her was founded after the tragic loss of Marijka Sherwood (Morris) McMahon to domestic violence. In Honor of Her works with local shelters to provide financial support and help bridge the gaps in the communities of those suffering from domestic violence. \n\nCamp Fantastic:  Camp Fantastic provides a week long get away for children suffering from or having recently suffered from cancer.  Children spend a week away with the support of appropriate medical staff\, and are counseled by previous camp attendees.  Simultaneously the siblings of those attending Camp Fantastic can attend a separate camp where they're surrounded by others who are going through the same thing. Rotary of Olney has supported Camp Fantastic since its founding and provides the kick off dinner to the campers and staff.
