DESCRIPTION:Summer Class for teens and home schoolers\, ages 11 and up. July 11\, 12\, 13\, 14\, 15 The first two days will provide an introduction and overview of the Norse way of warfare (late 700s   1066)\, including ship-building\, tactics and a hands-on look at weapons and equipment. The third and fourth days will be a study of battles and campaigns\, including Great Army in England or Harald Hardrada's 1066 Invasion of England. The fifth day will be an introduction to and playing of "Viking Era" board games\, particularly many regional versions of Hnefatafl. Cost: $180 Museum Members / $205 non-Members.
