DESCRIPTION:The B'nai Shalom of Olney Social Action Committee invites the local community to MITZVAH MAKERS Open House (Mitzvah - Act of Human Kindness\; a good deed) When: Sunday\, January 29th from 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Where: B'nai Shalom of Olney\, Social Hall 18401 Burtfield Drive\, Olney\, MD 20832 (on route 108 near Georgia Ave) Representatives from over 15 non-profit\, social service agencies and organizations will be participating in this community event. Their purpose is to provide information and answer questions about volunteer and support opportunities available to help their cause. There will be opportunities for community involvement for all age groups & covering broad areas of interest. We encourage everyone in the community to explore opportunities for mitzvoth (acts of kindness) and we know that together we can do our part to repair the world... one act at a time.
