SUMMARY:GCTC's Into the Woods
DESCRIPTION:This Spring Good Counsel Theatre Company presents the Broadway musical Into the Woods\, winner of seven Tony Awards. With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine\, this musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales and follows them to explore the consequences of the characters' wishes and quests.   With characters including Little Red Riding Hood\, Jack and the Beanstalk\, Rapunzel\, and Cinderella\, as well as several others\, the show covers multiple themes: growing up\, parents and children\, accepting responsibility\, morality\, and finally\, wish fulfillment and its consequences. GCTC's production of Into the Woods runs March 17-19\, 2016 in the Litton Gym at Good Counsel High School. For tickets go to www.gctheatreco.org. Performances are March 17\, 18\, and 19 at 7pm andMarch 19 at 2pm.
